Library Update

Due to the recent increase in Covid infections in our area and the upcoming holiday season beginning December 1st the library building will be closed to the public. Our number one priority is to keep staff and patrons healthy and safe while continuing to provide access to library materials and resources.

The following services will be available:

  • item requests from the Dexter Free Library
  • Interlibrary Loan
  • Take & Make Craft Projects for Children
  • Virtual Programs including Game Night and Bedtime Story Time
  • puzzle exchange

The library will be staffed per our normal operating hours (Tuesday and Thursday 10am – 6pm, Wednesday 9am-12pm and 1pm-6pm and Saturday 9am-12pm). During these hours contact the library for assistance with your material requests. If you normally request items via the catalog online you may continue to do so.

Pick-up of library materials will be via CURBSIDE SERVICE ONLY. Once your requested items have been received a staff member will contact you to confirm a pick-up time. Pick-up times will be available daily.

A variety of puzzles are available from our PUZZLE EXCHANGE at the library.

Puzzles can be a great way to enjoy time with family and friends during the holiday season at home. Our inventory of puzzles is ready for action. The puzzles at the library are not “borrowed” or “checked-out” like most items in the library. The puzzles are free. You do not have to have a puzzle to exchange in order to take one home. Remember these are meant to be shared. After you have completed a puzzle you can pass it along to someone you know or return it to the library.

Puzzles received by the library will be made available to the public after 5 days from the receipt date.

We have a variety of puzzles available starting with 300 piece puzzles up to 1000 piece puzzles. Contact us if you would like a puzzle or two and we will get them ready for you to pick up curbside!
