The use of the library may be denied for due cause. Such cause may be failure to return library materials for to pay penalties, destruction of library property, disturbance of other patrons, or any other illegal, disruptive, or objectionable conduct on the library premises.
Patron Behavior
Patrons must respect the rights of other patrons to use the library and not engage in activities that would interfere with that use. Examples of inappropriate behavior include but are not limited to:
Excessive noise.
Strong or offensive odor on self or belongings (perfume, alcohol, etc.)
Harassment
Sexual advances or comments
Foul Language
Being under the influence of drugs or alcohol
Children. It is library policy that all children under age 12 must be accompanied by a parent or designated responsible person while in the library.
No food or beverages are to be consumed in the library with the exception of pre-approval by the library director.
No Animals allowed in the Library except for assistance animals.
No smoking in the Library.
The telephone is not for public use other than emergency situations. Library staff will determine the necessity for such phone use.
The Library does not allow media equipment (such as DVD and VHS players, projector, projection screens) or furniture to be loaned out for public use.
Shirts and shoes must be worn. No skates or skateboards allowed.
The library reserves the right to inspect all packages before patrons enter or exit the library.
No weapons of any kind allowed or devices that could be used as a weapon.
Any patron not abiding by these policies or not obeying the reasonable request of the Library staff may be asked to leave the Library or will be referred to local police.
