- All computer users must be registered patrons in good standing (no overdues/fines) of the Library. The Library staff assumes that children under 18 years of age who are unattended in the Library have parental permission to use library resources and the internet.
- All computer users must sign a Computer User Agreement. Parents of children under age 18 are required to co-sign the disclaimer with their child.
- All computer equipment and software must be use as installed. Users are not permitted to add, delete, or modify the installed hardware or software. The use of Webcams is not permitted. E-mail, newsgroups and other restrictions must be observed.
- If any user abuses, misuses or engages in any use of the computer equipment or software not authorized by the library staff, or introduces a virus, the user will be prohibited from using this service.
- The use of the terminal is on a first-come, first-served basis. Each user is limited to a maximum of 30 minutes per day of use unless otherwise permitted by the library staff on duty and no one is waiting to use the terminal.
- Use is limited to two persons at a time. If two persons are using the terminal, their use is limited to 60 minutes at a time.
- Printing is limited to printing completed within the allotted daily 30 minutes of use. Printing will be stopped at the end of that time. DUE TO THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC ALL PRINTING IS BY DONATION UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE. RECOMMENDED DONATION IS THE FORMER PRINTING CHARGES AS NOTED HEREIN. Printing charges will be 10 cents per page for black and white pages and 20 cents per page for all color pages.
- Library staff does not tutor or have expertise in all software programs. Users shall assume the full responsibility of learning to use the equipment and resources.
- The rules of conduct which govern users of the Library will extend to computer users. The sound volume should be kept low as not to disturb other library users.
- Anyone violating these rules may be asked to leave by the library staff and may lose their access to the computer.
- Anyone who damages the computer equipment or software will be held legally responsible for their replacement
